The Beginnings...

For John and Glen the beginnings were years ago, both new Christians but both with a heart for the hurting. Interestingly enough, our mission field was the church. Glen once said she felt like a bridesmaid getting the bride ready for the coming groom. She couldn't see the point in evangelism when there was so much brokenness in the church itself!

They were married in 1984, John pursued his career in computer games and Glen looked after the kids with stints of casual teaching and management, working full time in 1998-1999. Both were fully committed and highly involved in whatever church situation they found ourselves in. At the end of 1999 they felt to leave their high profile, demanding jobs, John to go to Bible College and Glen to look for something less stressful. God had other plans and indicated most strongly that they were to live by faith. Both John & Glenys have really struggled with this concept but God has been quite clear "Pray with anyone who walks in through that door and live as the Levites do". And so they do. They wondered what God had in store at the end of John's two years at Unity College . Glen had been heavily involved there in curriculum development and staff training. Once again the word of the Lord came clearly "Don't look for a ministry - it will come to you". And it did - broken Christian after broken Christian. The Lord gifted and anointed them, but there were some they could not help. When the Lord showed them the workings of Spiritual Begetting/Dividedness they began to see many people set free from long standing issues, and so the course Moving Into Freedom was born.

The Lord continues to give us keys to the Kingdom. We have a heart for the lost and hurting, particularly those who have been introduced and indoctrinated into heavy occult practice as young children, and we long to see them set free. We minister to the Christian who struggles with issues which keep him or her in bondage and pain - there is hope!
